Rectifier problem  



I am currently working on a system with a steady 24h per day load of 60kW, with a genset of 80kW.
The system being off-grid, we are planning on adding a solar panel + battery system.
My suppliers only has 50kW  hybrid inverters.

The problem I have is that the batteries never discharge.

Indeed, during the night, it seems that the rectifier wants to provide 50kW to discharge the batteries, but if it did then the genset would have to provide 10kW, which is not possible because of the minimum running load of 20kW.
In real life, the controller I use would force the batteries to discharge at less than 50kW to allow the genset to produce the rest of the load, but Homer won't let me do it.
How can I solve this ?

You can use the MATLAB Link controller to customize the battery discharge and generator dispatch.
