can you help me on answering the below 4 questions
Analyse this : if we have a grid connected fixed PV panels-Wind-Battery micro-generation system. The system drives a combination of AC and DC loads (load profile files provided). You are to build and model this system, with a range of configurations of individual elements, to find the most economical solution for Dubai (25N Latitude & 55E Longitude); Solar & Wind profiles provided (scaled annual average of 2.44 & 3.0 for Solar and Wind respectively). In Dubai (25N Latitude & 55E Longitude) DEWA implements net metering on annual bases but will not buy any surplus power at the end of the year. Use the following input data for these simulations; for data not provided use the default data used in the Wind Diesel example shown in class, e.g. battery & convertor type,
1) For PVs
Properties: Life 25 years, Derating factor 90%, Slope 25 degrees, Azimuth (degrees W of S) 0, Ground reflectance 20%

7) Cost of grid electricity ($/kWh): 0.08 $/kWh

Questions
Q1) What is the best configuration for a grid-connected setup?
Q2) What is the cost of grid electricity needed to make a configuration with at least one renewable resource be the top choice?
Q3) What is the best configuration for an off-grid setup?
Q4) Is there any benefit is increasing the number of the batteries beyond the maximum of 200 shown in the given off-grid setup? How can you tell? What is a more suitable number of batteries to be used (support this by modelling a revised configuration)?

You can model all these components and be able to answer the above questions. Did you try building the HOMER model? You can use our resources like youtube tutorials and knowledgebase articles to get your answers to most modeling based questions. We also have a huge help documentation that explains how each component/feature in HOMER Pro works.
